We couldn’t believe it ourselves, but it’s true! Jandel Homes has officially surpassed the $100,000 monetary donation threshold during the 2021 Fill A House Christmas Campaign. In a year filled with uncertainty, our community came through, once again, to help our neighbours in need. Hats off to everyone who was involved this year and all of our participants since 2014!

Another successful campaign
Looking back to when we started Fill A House seven years ago, it’s incredible to see how far this campaign has come. We are just so proud of this event and want to thank everyone who’s helped out along the way! Here’s a recap of the events this year:
Cheque Presentation
Every year we have a cheque presentation, but this wasn’t just any cheque presentation. We came into this year with our fingers and toes crossed that we’d be able to surpass a grand total of $100,000 in monetary donations. Turning that cheque around and seeing the donation amount was an incredible experience knowing we hit our goal. But, it was even more incredible to think about how many families that money has helped over the last seven years!

In total, the Fill A House campaign raised 218 toy donations, 436 food items, 142 toiletries and $9,065 in monetary donations during our 2021 campaign.
This brings our grand total to 9,645 food and toiletries, 4,601 toy donations and $108,954 monetary donations since 2014. Wow!
Another Covid-Friendly Silent Auction
The silent auction plays an integral role in raising monetary donations for this campaign. While we hoped to have an in-person event filled with appetizers and a gathering at our Sales Centre, it just wasn’t possible with the current restrictions in place. Hosting the auction online allowed us to reach more people, and in turn, raise more donations for the campaign! We’re glad it was a hit this year but certainly look forward to pre-covid events. Our fingers are crossed to see you all in-person in 2022!
