1. Factory Built to Withstand our Harsh Canadian Climate

Not only are factory built homes built to withstand the journey to your property, they use an estimated 20% – 30% more framing lumber for structural strength. That translates to a stronger, longer standing home. Our builder also uses adhesive, screws and steel strapping to fasten components together to ensure structural stability.

Take it from our manufacturer … the following construction features ensure additional rigidity and ensure your home is built to last:

  • Wall systems employ a continuous 2 x 4′ belt rail to the entire wall.
  • Galvanizes straps are installed every 48″ securing the framing to the floor.
  • Exterior wall sheathing is glued and stapled to the studs and belt rails leaving no exterior sheathing unsupported by framing.

2. Factory Built to Withstand our Harsh Canadian Climate

Factory built modular homes are significantly more energy efficient than their site built counterparts. In layman’s terms – we build faster, with the right materials. Here are some building specifications straight from our manufacturer:

  1. We use R60 insulation in the ceiling, R40 in the floor and R22 in the walls.
  2. A vapour barrier is installed continuously around the home – leaving no gaps.
  3. All openings are sealed with caulking to keep warm air in and cold air out.
  4. Our Low E Argon windows are standard in all our homes.
